Fused Glass Workshop 17 July 9am-12pm\n  \n2 options now available.\nCreate your own beautiful glass art in my 3 hour July fused glass workshop in the Mara Amore shop\, Tenterden High Street. I now have 2 options available for you\, as below and it’s easy to book here on the website. \n\nCreate a flat piece of art of your choice . This could be a landscape or abstract tile or a range of suncatchers. One firing process. £65 pp\n\n \n2. Create a 3D piece of art. Two firing processes and a larger amount of glass provided. This could be a candle shade\, a wave or a small bowl/tray. £80 pp \n \nI will guide you through the processes used to create glass art and you will learn to cut and shape bullseye glass safely. Choose your own design and be sure to bring a photo or two or a sketch with you\, to inspire you. No previous experience is necessary. I will take all pieces back to my home studio to fire\, for collection around 10 days later. All materials and firing time is included in your ticket price. \n\n\n\n\n Add to calendar

Join me for a hands-on\, creative workshop where you will design and create your own stunning\, mosaic-style fused glass suncatcher—just like the one pictured. \nNo prior glass-working experience is required. Whether you are a complete beginner looking to try something new or a crafting enthusiast\, I will guide you every step of the way. \nWhat You’ll Do\nDuring this relaxed and social 2 hour workshop\, you will: \n\n\nLearn the Basics: Get a brief introduction to the principles of glass fusing\, compatibility\, and safety. \n\nLearn to Cut Glass: Learn how to use the tools and cut straight lines cleanly.\n\nDesign Your Masterpiece: Plan your layout using a wide array of colorful glass fragments\, stringers\, and pebbles. Create a beautiful rainbow gradient\, an abstract landscape\, or a completely unique pattern. \n\n\nAssemble Your Art: Arrange and glue your chosen glass pieces onto a clear glass base plate. \n\n\nThe Firing Process: Leave your finished piece with me! I will fire it in my specialized glass kiln to a “tack-fuse\,” melting the pieces together while maintaining a beautiful\, raised\, light-catching texture. \n\n\nWorkshop Details\n\n\nDuration: 2 Hours \n\n\nExperience Level: Beginner-friendly (Ages 16+) \n\n\nWhat’s Included: \n\n\nAll tools\, safety equipment\, and premium fusing glass. \n\n\nKiln firing service. \n\n\nComplimentary tea\, coffee\, and light refreshments. \n\n\n\nFraming service available at an extra cost.\n\nImportant Information\n\nNote on Collection: Because glass fusing and cooling in a kiln takes over 24 hours\, you won’t be able to take your suncatcher home on the day. Your finished piece will be ready for collection from the shop 7–10 days after the workshop (or can be posted to you for a small additional fee). \nWhat to Wear: For safety reasons\, please wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals) and comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting a little dusty. \n\nRuns every Friday.
