Terms and Conditions | Mara Amore

Welcome to Mara Amore. By placing an order with me, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a fair and transparent experience for both the artist and the collector.

1. Handcrafted Nature & Artistry

Every piece of glass art is handcrafted by me. Due to the nature of the glass-making process:

Unique Variations: No two pieces are identical. Slight variations in colour intensity, texture, and shape are inherent to the process and are what make your piece unique.
Representation: I make every effort to display colours and textures as accurately as possible in photographs; however, please note that screen settings vary and may slightly alter the appearance of a piece.

2. Ordering & Payment

Contract of Sale: Your order represents an offer to purchase, which is accepted by me once the item is dispatched.
Pricing: All prices are as stated on the website. I reserve the right to adjust pricing for custom commissions or in the event of a technical error.
Custom Commissions: For bespoke work, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required before work commences.
Workshops: Workshops are payable in full and in advance of the session date.

3. Shipping & My “Double-Armour” Promise

I take immense pride in my packaging to ensure your glass reaches you in one piece.

Packaging: Sculptures are cocooned in bubble wrap, double-wrapped in corrugated cardboard, and placed in a padded box. Pendants are secured in bubble wrap and a reinforced bubble bag.
Dispatch: I aim to dispatch orders within 2 business days. Custom pieces will have a longer lead time, which will be discussed at the time of order.
Shipping Insurance: Standard shipping includes basic compensation. For high-value items, I recommend upgraded shipping options to ensure full coverage against loss or damage by the courier.

4. Returns, Refunds & Damages

The 14-Day Window: Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from receipt of your item to notify me if you wish to return it for a “change of mind” refund.
Return Condition: The item must be returned in its original, unused condition and in my original “Double-Armour” packaging.
Exclusions: Custom-made commissions and earrings (for hygiene reasons) are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged.
Damaged Goods: If a piece arrives broken, please contact me within 48 hours with photographic evidence of both the item and the packaging. I will then arrange a replacement or refund.

5. Care & Safety

Handling: Glass is inherently fragile. Mara Amore cannot be held responsible for breakages that occur through accidental damage, dropping, or improper handling after the item has been safely delivered.
Display: Please follow any provided care instructions regarding sunlight exposure or cleaning to maintain the integrity of the glass.

6. Intellectual Property

All designs, photographs, and content on this website are the intellectual property of Mara Amore. They may not be reproduced, resold, or used for commercial purposes without my express written consent.

7. Privacy

Your personal data (name, address, email) will only be used to process your order and/or send my monthly newsletter if you have subscribed to that service. Your data will never be shared with third parties, except for the purpose of delivery (couriers).

8. Newsletter discount

When you subscribe to my monthly newsletter you will receive a 10% discount on your first purchase. This is valid for both online and in store purchases. For in store purchases please bring with you your welcome email so that I can apply the discount. The discount offer is not valid for workshops or Crafternoon courses.
