Learn the Art of Fused Glass

If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at glass fusing, this 3-hour introductory workshop is a practical, hands-on place to start. Designed for absolute beginners, the session is relaxed and focused on teaching you the fundamentals of working with premium Bullseye glass.

Because your glass needs time in my kiln to fuse and cool, your finished pieces won’t be ready to take home on the day. I will fire them for you, and they will be ready for collection one week later.

What I Will Teach You

• Safe Glass Cutting: I’ll show you the correct techniques to cut and shape glass safely and confidently.

• An Introduction to the Kiln: I’ll explain how the firing process works and how different temperatures affect the glass. This will help you decide on the exact texture you want for your finished piece—whether you prefer a smooth, glossy melt or a textured, tactile finish.

• Design & Assembly: I’ll be on hand to help you design your project and bring your ideas together.

Choose Your Project & Pricing

I offer two options depending on what you’d like to make. 

Option 1: The Flat Design (£65)

• What you make: A 15cm x 15cm flat glass piece.

• The process: This requires a single kiln firing.

• Ideas: Great for a suncatcher, coaster, tile art, or a small wall hanging.

Option 2: The Curved & Slumped Design (£80)

• What you make: A larger, 3D functional piece.

• The process: This uses a larger glass allowance and requires two separate kiln firings—the first to fuse your design flat, and a second “slumping” firing over a mold to shape it.

• Ideas: Ideal for a bowl, a free-standing wave, a candle holder, or a candle shade.

Important Safety & Clothing Info

Working with glass is safe when done correctly, but we do need to follow a few basic rules:

• Footwear: For your own safety, no open-toed shoes or sandals are allowed in the studio. Please wear enclosed shoes (like trainers or boots).

• Eye Protection: Safety goggles are provided and must be worn when cutting glass.
