Kingfishers are so striking with their shimmering multiple colours . This piece was created for a special birthday for a young man who is so fascinated with these birds that he even has a tattoo of one on his arm! So it was important I got this one right! The Kingfisher is perched on a branch with water droplets.
The piece was created in two firings to get the amount of texture required and is mounted on an oak stand. It currently stands on a windowsill in South West London, catching the morning light.
